Legendary British tennis player Andy Murray played the last match of his career.
Together with his compatriot Daniel Evans, Murray competed in the doubles at the 2024 Olympic Games, where in the quarterfinals the British team lost to the US pair of Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul (2:6, 4:6).
Before the start of the 2024 Games in Paris, Andy Murray announced that this Olympics would be the last tournament of his career.
Andy Murray is a former world number one and the only two-time Olympic singles champion in history (London 2012 and Rio 2016). The Briton won Wimbledon twice in 2013 and 2016, and also won the US Open title in 2012.
The 2024 Olympic Games in Paris will last until August 11. The competition will feature 329 sets of medals in 32 sports.
