Romanian women’s team showed the best result among the eights
Today, August 3rd, on Olympic Games 2024 competitions among women took place in academic rowing. Among the singles, the victory was won by Caroline Florane from the Netherlands. In the eights swim, she won Romanian national team.
Florein clocked 7:17.28, 1.86 seconds ahead of Tokyo Olympic champion Emma Twigg of New Zealand. Lithuania’s Viktorija Senkute won the bronze medal.
The previous Olympic champion (Canada) also resigned in the eights. The North American athletes were left with no chance by the Romanian team, who beat their pursuers by four and a half seconds. Third place went to Great Britain.
The 2024 Summer Olympics will end on August 11. The competitions will feature 329 sets of awards in 32 sports. Ukraine is represented in Paris by 140 athletes in 23 sports – this is the smallest representation of the blue and yellow during the Olympics.
