The Ukrainian winger played the first half and had one half-chance
Manchester city And Chelsea held a rehearsal for the first round match EPL at a pre-season training camp in the United States. The Citizens won a confident victory over Enzo Maresca’s team – 4:2.
Both early goals were the result of the Blues’ childish mistakes when trying to break out of defence. Erling Haaland scored twice – first with difficulty converting a penalty for a foul on himself, and then calmly beating Robert Sanchez from play.
The first half for Chelsea was played by Ukrainian Mykhailo Mudryk. With the score 0:2, he made a pass with a shift from the right flank, which he finished with a shot – Joško Gvardiol managed to block.
After the break, Pep Guardiola’s side continued to bully their opponents’ defence. Oscar Bobb scored from a pass by James McAtee, and Haaland immediately completed a hat-trick, taking advantage of an assist from the same McAtee.
Only then did City allow themselves to relax and let Chelsea escape a major defeat. The hero of the last half hour was Mudrik’s substitute Noni Madueke – first he assisted Raheem Sterling, and towards the end of the match he scored himself in a counterattack.
Chelsea have friendlies scheduled with Real (August 7) and Inter ahead. In the first round of the Premier League, Maresca’s team will play against Manchester City on August 18.
