The head coach of the Kyiv club held a press conference before the important game of the third round of selection.
Dynamo and Rangers have different playing styles, so fans can expect an interesting matchup in the third round of Champions League qualification. So says the head coach of the Kyiv club, Alexander Shovkovsky.
The coach also noted the famous history of the Glasgow team, where the club has started to bounce back in recent years.
“Of course, the team we will play against in the third qualifying round of the Champions League has a great history. And even though Rangers have had some problems in recent decades, the club has managed to rise, return to the top flight, champions, win the Scottish Cup and League Cup, and are now on track to return to the famous traditions that this club has.
We are very much looking forward to this confrontation, which will bring together two different football cultures. For our part, we will try to show our best qualities. But at the same time, we have studied our opponent, and we can expect a threat both from forwards who perform well in the final phase, and from active flank players. The team is experienced, ambitious, and very quick to play football. So an interesting confrontation awaits us,” Dynamo’s official website quoted Shovkovsky as saying.
We remind you that the nominal home match with Rangers will take place on Tuesday, August 6, in Lublin, Poland, and will start at 21:00 Kyiv time.
Let’s remember that in the previous round of the Champions League, Dynamo defeated Partizan Belgrade twice.
