Talles Magno undergoes tests in SP and prepares to reinforce Corinthians’ attack

The 22-year-old, currently linked with New York City FC, is expected to sign a one-year loan deal.

The attacker Talles Magno landed in São Paulo on the morning of this Wednesday (7) to carry out medical examinations and formalize his loan agreement with the Corinthians. If all goes according to plan, the 22-year-old, currently linked with New York City FCwill sign a loan agreement valid for one year.

The North American club, with which Talles has a contract until 2026, released the player in exchange for a payment of 1.5 million dollars (approximately R$ 8.5 million) from Corinthians. The striker’s medical exams have already begun on Wednesday, and the expectation is that all formalities will be completed by Friday (9), allowing him to be included in the squad for the match against Bragantino, on Saturday, for the Brasileirão.

Talles Magno, who was revealed by Vasco and was part of the Brazilian national team that won the 2019 U-17 World Cup, he was signed by New York City in 2021 for around R$60 million. The player’s desire to return to Brazil and joining Corinthians was decisive for the advancement of negotiations, which took place over the last two weeks.

Due to a knee injury, Talles has had few opportunities to play this year. After a five-month period off the pitch, he recently returned and played in three matches, two of them coming off the bench and one as a starter.

The arrival of Talles Magno is seen as an important reinforcement for Corinthians’ attack, which is still looking for another player for the sector.
