The Copa do Brasil has its eight remaining teams set for the quarter-finals; check out everything you need to know about the next stage
This Thursday, the 8th, all those who qualified for the quarterfinals of the Brazil Cup 2024 were confirmed. Only the duel remained Goias x São Paulo; as Tricolor won the first leg 2-0, this week’s goalless draw was enough to guarantee the current champion a place in the next phase.
There will be a final draw to define the duels and the sequence of the draw in the competition. In addition to São Paulo, the following are guaranteed: Atlético-MG, Athletico-PR, Bahia, Corinthians, Flamengo, Youth and Vasco. Each team pocketed R$4.515 million for advancing to the quarterfinals.
The first leg matches will be played from August 27th; the second leg will be decided after a fortnight, in the week of September 11th. A date for the draw for the matches in this stage has not yet been confirmed; in addition to the bracket, the home field advantage will be known at the event.
