Slovak DAK 1904 terminated cooperation with his sports director Gleb Platov. Sport Arena previously reported on the specialist’s potential departure.
Platov has worked as the sports director of DAK 1904 since October 2023. In parallel, the specialist works in the Ukrainian national team as an assistant to head coach Sergei Rebrov.
As stated in the official announcement of the club, “We felt that cultural and ideological differences were an obstacle to our further cooperation.”
Platov worked as a coach-analyst in Rebrov’s staff at Dynamo Kyiv. He was an assistant to Vicente Gomez in Sabah, Azerbaijan. He also worked at the Aspire Academy (Qatar), the Qatar Olympic team and the structure of SK Dnepr-1 (as a sports director).
In addition, Platov led PASS courses at the Ukrainian Football Association. At the age of 28, he received a UEFA Pro coaching license.
DAK 1904 from Dunajská Streda is the vice-champion of Slovakia in the 2023/24 season. The club has already opened the new season with matches against Azerbaijani Ziri in the second qualifying round of the Conference League (0:4, 1:2). DAK 1904 started the Slovakian championship with four points in two games.
