The cooperation with the coach of the women’s national team has also been extended – Oleg Shaitanov. The contract has been extended until the end of the World Cup in 2025.
The Ukrainian women’s futsal team will play against the Czech Republic, Northern Ireland and France in the main round of the 2025 World Cup qualification. According to the regulations, only six group winners will advance to the elite round of the 2025 World Cup qualification.
In turn, Kosenko’s team, following the results of the group round draw for the 2024 European Championship qualification, ended up in Group 1. The blue-yellows’ opponents will be Romania, Germany and Cyprus. The 10 group winners will join Latvia and Lithuania in the final stage, and the eight best teams that took second place will play in the playoffs.
