The striker spoke about how he agreed to return to the Donetsk club and about the prospects for a new team.
Shakhtar midfielder Andriy Totovitsky, who returned to Shakhtar this summer, has shared details of his move from Kolos. According to the experienced 29-year-old striker, he did not think for a second about the proposal received from the Donetsk club.
“Then I was driving to training from Kovalivka. First, my agent called me, and then Darijo Srna. He said that there was interest from the miner and asked if I wanted. Of course, I agreed without hesitation -doubt. And so it all happened that I found myself in the team.
Shakhtar is my native team. Everyone understands that playing in Shakhtar is a completely different story than playing in Kolos, with all due respect to him. A miner without Brazilians? Everything ends sometimes. We understand that this is the situation, the war, and they all left the team, our country. It is not safe for them.
I believe that Shakhtar will be the same team, playing from a position of strength. There are very good young players who can replace them. Plus experienced players too. My role in the team is to help the club develop, to show their best qualities. I have something to prove to this team,” Totovitsky told MEGOGO.
