Chernomorets announced the transfer of Brazilian winger Joao Neto

Odessans have added another Brazilian newcomer to their roster

Chernomorets announced the transfer of the Portuguese winger Famalica João Neto.

The term of the 21-year-old Brazilian’s agreement with the Odessans has not been disclosed. Joao Neto will play for the new team under number 70.

João Neto has played for Famalicao since 2019. The winger made history as the club’s youngest debutant in the Portuguese championship – in December 2020, the Brazilian took to the field against Sporting at the age of 16.5 years.

Since then, João Neto has played only eight matches for Famalicao in the Portuguese league. He has played mainly for the club’s U-23 team, and has also played on loan for Benfica B, playing 12 matches in two seasons with them, without distinguishing himself in scoring.

Let us recall that on Monday Chernomorets announced the transfer of Brazilian Paranvay defender Caio Gomes.

Also this summer, the Odessans signed Shakhtar defenders Roman Savchenko and Danylo Udod, Minaj defender Yaroslav Kisil, former captain of Metalist 1925 Artem Gabelka, and formalized the transfer of former Kryvbas striker Oleksiy Khoblenko. The sailors also signed midfielder Bohdan Biloshevsky, winger Denys Yanakov and defender Bohdan Lototsky.

Today, August 16, Chornomorets opens the program of the third round of the UPL with a home match against Kolos. The match started at 15:30 Kyiv time. The team of Oleksandr Babich lost the first two rounds – away 0:1 from Kryvbas and home 0:1 from Zorya.
