Marta won only four games against the world’s number one tennis player
Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk in the 1/8 finals of the tournament WTA 1000 V Cincinnati was defeated by the world’s number one tennis player Igi Sventek.
The match lasted 1 hour and 11 minutes. Kostyuk started the first set with a break, but immediately gave her serve to Iga. In total, Marta allowed Swiatek to make three breaks in the opening set and eventually lost with a score of 2:6.
The second set was also completely dominated by Šwiętek. Thanks to two breaks, she celebrated a 6:2 victory and easily made it to the quarterfinals of the tournament. There, Iga will meet the winner of the Mirra Andreeva – Jasmine Paolini pair.
