Alexandria beat Dawn in the third round match Ukrainian Premier League 2024/25 — 2:1. The match, nominally “home” for Yuriy Koval’s team, took place in Kyiv at the Lobanovsky Dynamo Stadium.
Alexandria scored twice in the first half. Bezerra opened the scoring, and nine minutes later Kirill Kovalets scored the second goal. It should be noted that the captain of Alexandria played his 200th match in the UPL.
Zarya managed to score one goal in the second half, defender Jordan scored. The visitors did not allow their opponents to achieve more.
Oleksandriya won its second victory in the new UPL season and moved into first place with six points. Zorya, which also has six points, suffered its first defeat.
In the next match, Ruslan Rotan’s team will host Shakhtar on August 24. Zorya will play against Olimpia in the Ukrainian Cup on August 21.
