The Kharkov football team received a new coach, with whom they will try to return to the UPL.
Metalist 1925 got a new coach. The Kharkov club officially announced the appointment of Patrick van Leeuwen to the position of head coach.
The former coach of Shakhtar Donetsk has signed a three-year contract with the new club.
“Patrick van Leeuwen has a clear task – to return to UPL.
He has a lot of experience in Ukraine and Europe. He has his own style and system, which I am sure he can implement in our club. We all expect successes from Mr. van Leeuwen,” said Metalist 1925 President Vladimir Nosov.

Van Leeuwen previously coached Shakhtar Donetsk and Zorya Lugansk in Ukraine. He replaced Viktor Skripnik in his post in the Kharkov team.
