Brazilian police drop investigation into Manchester United striker Antoine who was accused of domestic violence.
In June 2023, the footballer’s ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin contacted the Sao Paulo police, accusing Anthony of four counts of domestic violence, threats and injury. Soon, two other girls in the UK accused the Brazilian of inappropriate behavior.
“The defense of the player Anthony Matheus Dos Santos, taking into account the information published in the press on Tuesday, publicly confirms that the police investigation opened at the 5th Women’s Protection Station of the Civil Police of Sao Paulo has been closed without charges being brought,” the text of the defense statement is quoted by Anthony L’Equipe.
As the publication notes, an investigation into possible domestic violence by Anthony is ongoing in the UK.
Antoine is 24 years old. He represents Manchester United since 2022 and with the team has won the FA Cup and the English League Cup. He previously played for Sao Paulo and also became a double Dutch champion with Ajax. At the Tokyo Olympics, Anthony won gold with the national team.
