UEFA decided not only to change the format of the tournament, but also to update one of the main characteristics.
UEFA changed the Champions League anthem. Updated the music played before the start of the broadcast, as well as before the start of the tournament.
The notes of the melody remained the same, but the sound of the musical instruments changed somewhat.
Note that from the 2024/2025 season, 36 teams will play in the Champions League, not 32. They will all be in the same standings and play according to the Swiss system.
The matches of the new format will be played from Tuesday to Thursday, and not only on Tuesday and Wednesday, as before. All 18 matches of the final round will take place on one game day – January 29.
The 2024/2025 UEFA Champions League final will take place on 31 May 2025 at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
