In the summer, the defender and forward moved to Prometey, but the club ceased to exist
Prykarpattya-Hoverla returned two players to its roster – a defender Sergei Startsev and forward Ilya Kabatsiura.
Both basketball players moved to Prometey this summer, but the club ceased to exist. Startsev and Kabatsyura decided to return to Goverla.
Last season, Startsev became the second most productive Ukrainian basketball player in the Super League, losing only to Andrey Agafonov. On average, Sergey scored 16.4 points per game, and also made 3.9 rebounds and 4.5 assists.
Kabatsiura has no less solid statistics: 13.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists. As part of Odessa BIP in the 2022/23 season, Ilya became a bronze medalist of the Super League.
Earlier, Prykarpattya-Goverla signed forward Danylo Markiv, who played for Stary Lutsk last season. Also, the team was joined by former Kryvbas defender Oleksandr Brechka.
Prykarpattya-Goverla took sixth place in the regular championship of the Super League-2023/24. Ivano-Frankivsk lost to Kyiv-Basket in the quarterfinals of the playoffs.
