The reason is the violation of the norm for the number of fans at the game between Lviv and Dynamo (1:3)
Carpathians announced that by decision Control and Disciplinary Committee of the UAF next home match against Vorskla as part of the fifth round UPL will take place without fans.
The reason for this is the excess of the permissible number of fans at the previous home match of Karpaty against Dynamo (1:3). Then, 6,300 fans were present at the Ukraine stadium, which became a record figure in the UPL starting from the 2021/22 season.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine has allowed fans to attend matches at stadiums since March 2024, but the number allowed remains limited and depends on the number of shelters that will be able to accommodate fans in the event of an air raid alarm.
Also, by the decision of the UAF, financial sanctions in the form of a fine were imposed on Karpaty.
Karpaty have four points after three opening rounds of the UPL. Vladislav Lupashko’s team will play the fourth round match against LNZ today, August 26. The start was moved from 13:00 to 19:00 due to Russia’s massive missile attack on Ukrainian territory.
