The 36 teams that will compete in the group stage of the 2024/25 Champions League have been announced.
The group stage of the tournament will be held for the first time under a new format. 36 teams will be in a group. Before the draw, which will take place on August 29 in Monaco, all teams are divided into four pots.
Based on the results of the draw, each participant will play eight matches against eight different opponents. Each team will receive two opponents from each basket.
Basket 1: Manchester City, Liverpool (England), Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Leipzig (all Germany), Real Madrid, Barcelona (Spain), Inter (Italy), PSG” (France);
Basket 2: Atalanta, Juventus, Milan (Italy), Bayer (Germany), Atlético (Spain), Bruges (Belgium), Shakhtar (Ukraine), Benfica (Portugal), Arsenal (England);
Basket 3: Feyenoord, PSV (Netherlands), Salzburg (Austria), Lille (France), Sporting (Portugal), Dinamo Zagreb (Croatia), Red Star (Serbia), Young Boys (Switzerland), Celtic (Scotland);
Basket 4: Slovan (Slovakia), Aston Villa (England), Bologna (Italy), Monaco, Brest (France), Sparta (Czech Republic), Sturm (Austria), Girona (Spain), Stuttgart (Germany).
