The forward spent previous seasons at the Italian Metauro Basket Academy and the Dutch Maastricht Rebels
BC Zaporozhye signed the captain of the Ukrainian youth team Vladislav Nikolaychuk.
The 20-year-old forward is a graduate of BC Crystal-Chortkiv. Vladislav made his Super League debut in the 2021/22 season as part of Ternopil. After the full-scale invasion of the Russian army, Nikolaychuk played for the Italian Metauro Basket Academy and the Dutch Maastricht Rebels.
The forward took part in the 2024 EuroBasket in Division B, following which the blue-yellows returned to the elite division. Nikolaychuk spent an average of 19.4 minutes on the court at the tournament, and scored 5.8 points, 5 rebounds and 1.4 assists.
BC Zaporizhzhya took fifth place in the regular championship of the FAVBET Super League-2023/24. In the playoffs, Valeriy Plekhanov’s team lost to Cherkasy Monkeys in the quarterfinals.
