This is exactly how much the Public Investment Fund of the government of Saudi Arabia is offering the footballer. Vinicius was offered 5 years to play in the Middle Eastern country as a soccer player, after which he will be an ambassador for the 2034 World Cup for 10 years.
The publication named the following key points of Vinicius Junior’s possible contract in Saudi Arabia:
1 billion euros for 5 years of a football contract;
freedom to choose your next club in 2029;
the role of ambassador for the 2034 World Cup and the Saudi Arabian Championship;
the chance to get a position somewhere after the player’s career.
Big contracts with football stars, especially Neymar (Al-Hilal) and Cristiano Ronaldo (Al-Nasr), expire in the summer of 2025, and the Saudis see this as an opportunity to free up funds for the arrival of Vinicius.
