Albania announces squad for Nations League matches against Ukraine and Georgia

Sylvinho called up 10 players from top leagues, as well as Seferi from Vorskla

Albania national team announced the lineup for the upcoming matches Nations League 2024/25 against Ukraine And Georgia.

The list of 24 players called up by head coach Sylvinho includes all the strongest players at the moment, including ten representatives of the top championships. The only loss is the absence of Granada forward Mirto Uzuni. Also missing from the list of called up players are two veterans – goalkeeper Etrit Berisha (currently without a club) and striker Sokol Cikalleshi (ended his career with the national team).

The squad includes one of the key players, winger Taulant Seferi, who returned to Vorskla some time ago.

Midfielders: Yulbert Ramadani, Meudon Berisha (both Lecce, Italy), Amir Abrashi (Grasshoppers, Switzerland), Christian Asllani (Inter, Italy), Kazim Laci (Sparta, Czech Republic), Nedim Bajrami (Sassuolo, Italy), Arber Hoxha (Dinamo Z) , Croatia), Yasir Asani (Gwangju, Korea), Sebastian Spahiu (Mes Rafsanjan, Iran).

Forwards: Taulant Seferi (Vorskla, Ukraine), Rey Manaj (Sivasspor, Turkey), Armando Broja (Chelsea, England), Agim Zeka (Partizani).

Albania will begin their journey in the new Nations League season on June 7 against Ukraine in Prague (tickets on sale now). Three days later, Sylvinho’s team will host Georgia in Tirana.

The blue-yellows, we recall, will hold both opening matches in Prague. On September 10, the team of Sergei Rebrov will play the Czech Republic at the same stadium “Epet Arena”. Tickets for this match can be purchased on the official website.

In October, Ukraine will play Georgia in Poznan, after which it will play the second match against the Czech Republic in Wroclaw. Ukraine will play the final two rounds of Group B1 of the 2024/2025 Nations League in November of this year.
