Russian commentator Gennady Orlov spoke about the conversation he had with a newcomer “Zenith” Alexander Sobolev.
Sobolev officially became a Zenit player on Friday. The 27-year-old footballer signed a three-year contract with the “blue-white-blue” with the possibility of extending for another season. The striker will wear the number seven shirt.
“Sobolev came up to me and said: ‘I dreamed of shaking your hand.’ This is how he treats me, the commentator, and I criticized him a lot,” Orlov said on SKA’s VKontakte show.
Previously, Sobolev played for Spartak Moscow. In July, he was suspended from training with the red-and-white first team. In total, the striker played 140 matches for the Moscow club, scoring 58 goals and making 32 assists.
