Portuguese striker for Saudi Arabia “Al-Nasra” Cristiano Ronaldo described the Champions League victory in the 2007/08 season as the most special of his career.
In 2008, Ronaldo played for English side Manchester United, who beat Chelsea on penalties in the Champions League final in Moscow at the Luzhniki Stadium.
“When people ask me about the most special final, the first Champions League final that comes to mind was in 2008 when I played for Manchester United. Then we won, I scored in the game, but I didn’t score in the penalty shootout,” Ronaldo said during the 2024/25 Champions League draw.
At the draw ceremony, Ronaldo received the award for the top scorer in the history of the Champions League. The Portuguese has scored 140 goals in 183 matches in the main European Cup during his career.
Ronaldo has been the top scorer in a Champions League season seven times, more than any other player. He has played for Al-Nasr since 2023.
