Palmeiras occupies the third position in the Brazilian Championship standings with 47 points. Atlético Paranaense is 12th with 29 points.
In the next round, Palmeiras will host Crisiuma at home and Atlético Paranaense will face Fortaleza at home.
In the other matches of the 25th round, Bragantino beat Bahia (2:1). Vasco da Gama won against Vitoria (1:0), Internacional beat Juventude (3:1) and Fluminense proved stronger than Sao Paulo (2:0).
