Ostapchenko brings Ukraine fourth gold at the 2024 Paralympics, Trusov and Palamarchuk have silver and bronze

Ukraine already has 30 medals won at the 2024 Paralympic Games

Ukraine won three more medals in swimming Paralympic Games 2024 V Paris.

Denis Ostapchenko won gold in the 50m backstroke (class S3) with a time of 45.16 seconds. Another Ukrainian won bronze in the same final swim — Sergey Palamarchukcovering the distance in 50.48 seconds.

For Ostapchenko, this is the second Paralympic gold in his career – at Tokyo 2020, he won the 200m freestyle (class S3).

Also today a silver medal was brought to Ukraine Andrey Trusov in the 400m freestyle in the S7 class. Andrey covered the distance in 4:40.17 minutes. Another Ukrainian took part in this final swim — Yuri Shengurfinishing eighth with a time of 5:13.31.

For Trusov, this medal is already the second at the 2024 Paralympic Games. Previously, he also won silver in the 200-meter medley, and in total, Andrei has won the seventh Paralympic medal in his career.

In total, Ukraine has already won 30 medals at the 2024 Paralympic Games: 4 gold, 11 silver and 15 bronze.

The 2024 Paralympics are taking place in Paris from August 28 to September 8. The Ukrainian team is represented at the Games by 140 athletes. Ukrainians are competing in 17 of the 22 Paralympic sports – a record in the history of our country.
