Shulyar became the Paralympic champion in the 400-meter run, Chufarov finished second in the 200-meter medley

Another swimmer, Serbin, missed the podium by a few seconds.

Gold and silver medals in various sports added to the collection Ukrainian national team on Paralympic Games 2024 in Paris.

Track and field athlete wins seventh gold for her country Julia Shulyar — she became the best in the 400-meter run in the T12 class. The Ukrainian showed a time of 55.16 (personal record), only 0.07 seconds ahead of Aysel Onder from Turkey, who set a new Paralympic and world record (54.96) in the qualification yesterday, but today was unable to reach the set bar.

Another success awaited Ukraine in swimming. In the 200-meter medley (class SM11) Daniil Chufarov second only to Dutchman Roger Dorsman, who also set a new Paralympic record. Another Ukrainian Mikhail Serbin finished fourth – Czech David Kratochvil kept him out of the top 3.

Let us recall that on September 1, Serbin became the champion in the 100-meter backstroke with a world record in the class S11, and Chufarov in the same swim became the third. And again the place between the two Ukrainians was taken by the ubiquitous Kratochvil.

In total, Ukraine won exactly 40 medals at the 2024 Paralympic Games: seven gold, 14 silver and 19 bronze.

The 2024 Paralympics are taking place in Paris from August 28 to September 8. The Ukrainian team is represented at the Games by 140 athletes. Ukrainians are competing in 17 of the 22 Paralympic sports – a record in the history of our country.
