Attack “Barcelona” Lamine Yamal Manchester United midfielder Alexandre Garnacho and Real Madrid midfielder Arda Güler nominated for the Kop Trophy, which rewards the best under-21 footballer of the year according to France Football magazine.
Also included in the list of nominees are defender Pau Kubarsi (Barcelona), midfielders Kobby Mainu (Manchester United), Warren Zaire-Emery (PSG) and Joao Neves (Benfica), as well as forwards Savinho (Manchester City), Mathis Tell (Bayern) and Karim Konate (Salzburg).
The award will be presented at the 68th Ballon d’Or ceremony for the world’s best footballer, which will take place on October 28 in Paris.
Last year, a partnership was announced between UEFA and the owner of media companies France Football and L’Equipe to jointly organise the Ballon d’Or awards from 2024.
