The leadership of Kyiv Obolon decided to part ways with their mentor due to unsatisfactory results.

Valery Ivashchenko is no longer the coach of Obolon. The specialist left the post of coach of the Kyiv club, as announced on the official website of the UPL team.

Brewers management decided to stop working with the 43-year-old coach due to unsatisfactory results.

“FC Obolon announced the termination of the contract with the head coach Valery Ivashchenko. FC Obolon thanks Valery Ivashchenko for the work done, professionalism, dedication and team achievements. We wish success in your future career, new victories and great victories!” – said the message.

Let’s remember that Ivashchenko spent his entire coaching career in Obolon, which he led in the summer of 2021.

Immediately after the dismissal of the former head coach, Obolon announced the appointment of a new coach.

Sergei Shishchenko will now lead the actions of the players of the Kyiv club. The Brewers’ club press service writes about it.

It should be noted that the details of the agreement between the specialist and the club were not disclosed. Shishchenko replaced Valery Ivashchenko at the head of Obolon, who has been working in the structure of the Kyiv group since 2014.

The last workplace of the specialist was Zhytomyr Polesie, which he led to the qualification of the Conference League in the 2023/24 season.
