Secretary General of the Russian Football Union (RFU) Maxim Mitrofanov told that the national team Russia could have done even better in a friendly match against Vietnam.
The match took place on Thursday in Hanoi and ended with a score of 3:0 in favour of the Russians.
— What is your impression of the victory? To what extent did the weather affect the match?
— I want to congratulate everyone on their victory. We understood that the weather conditions here were quite difficult – humidity, high temperature. Of course, it is difficult. But we achieved results.
“I probably could have played better. Again, it’s a friendly match. Some things didn’t work out. It’s important that the result was achieved, and it’s positive,” Mitrofanov told .
In the next match, the Russians will face the Thai team. The match will take place in Hanoi on September 7 and will start at 16:00 (Moscow time).
