The Portuguese midfielder dedicated four years of his career to the Kievans and became the champion of Ukraine twice
President Dynamo Igor Surkis expressed his gratitude to his former player Miguel Velosowho recently announced his retirement.
“Since his arrival at our club in July 2012, Miguel has always distinguished himself with his high level of professionalism and hard work.”
“He was one of the main, if not the main designer of Dynamo attacks, gave signature passes and demonstrated leadership qualities. Miguel also worked well in defense, did a huge amount of work and gave himself 100% to the game.”
“I thank Miguel for everything he has done for Dynamo and wish him success after he retires from football.”
Let us recall that the 38-year-old Portuguese midfielder has officially hung up his boots. In his statement, he thanked the players and coaches with whom he played previously.
Veloso played for Dynamo from 2012 to 2016. Together with the Kiev team, the midfielder won two Ukrainian championship titles and won the Ukrainian Cup twice.
Miguel also played for Sporting, Genoa, Verona and Pisa. The midfielder has 56 matches for the Portugal national team, scoring three goals. Veloso reached the semi-finals of Euro 2012 with the national team.
The Portuguese’s last club was Pisa, which plays in Serie B. Filippo Inzaghi’s team is leading the Italian second division after four rounds.
