Chelsea owners Boeli and Eghbali mull buyout deal

The club’s incredible spending does not bring the necessary dividends

Owners Chelsea Todd Boehly And Behdad Eghbali are considering buying out shares to fully own the rights to the London club.

Boeli’s consortium invested more than $5 billion in the acquisition of Chelsea, including guarantees for future investment in the London club in 2022. Eghbali is a co-owner of the club.

However, in just over two years of management, Chelsea have failed to deliver positive results. The club has made major purchases in 2023 and 2024, but this has not brought the desired result – trophies.

Clearlake Capital, of which Eghbali is a co-founder, owns more than 60% of the Blues, with the remainder owned by Boeli and his partners. However, the differences between Eghbali and Boeli do not affect their desire and ambition to take Chelsea to the top of European and world club football.

Chelsea will play Gent, Heidenheim, Astana, Shamrock Rovers, Panathinaikos and Noah in the Conference League group stage, with the first round scheduled for October 3.

In the Premier League, Enzo Maresca’s team is in 11th place. Mikhail Mudrik plays for the London club.
