Ukrainian heavyweight world champion believes in the possibility of developing in different directions
WBO/WBA/IBO/WBC heavyweight title holder Alexander Usik (22-0, 14 KO) believes that hard work is the key to achieving success, and only a small part depends on talent.
“There is no talent, guys, only work – 99 percent. It’s just that someone can do a little better in some areas. He has it, because he grasps it more closely, understands all the moments.”
“For example, you work in finance. You can tell me something that will make me gape. But it may not be true. You can just tell it beautifully. I can also tell you about sports – the hundred and first trick, definitely. Everyone should develop themselves in their activities, but you should develop others too, besides your own.”
On the night of May 19, Usyk inflicted the first defeat of Tyson Fury’s professional career in a fight that took place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). The victory was awarded to the Ukrainian by a split decision of the judges: 115-112, 113-114 and 114-113.
Usyk and Fury have reached an agreement for a rematch. The “Gypsy King” has officially activated the rematch option. The second fight between Alexander and Tyson will take place in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman said he will seek the introduction of video replays in this fight.
