The Ukrainian surpassed his career best result by 38 cm
Ukrainian hammer thrower Mikhail Kokhan set a new personal record and became the winner of the competition Continental Tour Gold Levelwhich took place in Zagreb.
The Ukrainian’s result was 81.14 m. Mikhail was able to improve his previous personal best (80.76 m) by 38 cm. He threw the hammer further than 80 m for the seventh time in his career, and for the first time he broke the 81 m mark.
Second place went to Pawel Fajdek from Poland, whose best attempt reached 79.10 m. Third place went to Canadian Ethan Katzberg (79.04 m).
Let us recall that Ethan Katzberg became the Olympic champion in Paris – the Canadian’s result was 84.12 m. Mikhail Kokhan won bronze at the 2024 Games with a result of 79.39 m.
At the end of August, Mikhail won silver at the Diamond League stage in Silesia, and on September 1, he became the winner of the Continental Tour competition in Bialystok, Poland.
