Captain “Seville » Jesus Navas said he was continuing his career despite notable health problems and a hip injury.
On Saturday, Sevilla beat Getafe (1-0) in the home match of the fifth day of the Spanish Championship. Navas, 38, scored the winning goal.

“Many people know my situation. Two days ago, I couldn’t even walk.
Why this sacrifice? This is my Sevilla. The desire is stronger than the pain, but I have been in this situation for four years now. It is difficult because every two or three days I have problems: I can’t even walk or play with the children. But I will continue, giving everything on the pitch,” Marca quoted Navas as saying.
In May, the Sevilla captain extended his contract with the club until December 31, 2024, after which he plans to retire.
This summer he retired from the Spanish national team after winning EURO 2024.
