The miners missed a great opportunity to open the scoring at the start of the match. Already in the second minute, the hosts brought down Eginaldo in their penalty area, but Georgy Sudakov did not convert the penalty.
At the beginning of the second half, Bologna responded with a series of dangerous moments, in which the Miners were saved by goalkeeper Dmytro Riznyk. Shakhtar had a chance to distinguish themselves through Oleksandr Zubkov. However, the home team already had the advantage, having made almost two dozen shots at the Miners’ goal during the match.
