The opponents finished the match, postponed from Wednesday due to heavy rain
Shakhtar U-19 finished the away match against Bologna V UEFA Youth League. The productive shootout between the rivals ended with the victory of the Ukrainian club in the last minute – 4:3.
Let us recall that this match started yesterday, but was interrupted in the 8th minute due to heavy rain, which forced the referee to take the players to the underground area.
Immediately after the match resumed, the score in Shakhtar’s favor was opened by 18-year-old Viktor Tsukanov, who had previously been included in the Miners’ senior team’s application for the group stage of the Champions League.
Rossoblu later equalized, but Alexander Lomaga put the Ukrainian team ahead again. Bologna started the second half better – scoring twice, Claudio Rivalta’s team took the lead. The chances were equalized by the same Tsukanov in the 72nd minute.
When it seemed that a draw was inevitable, Alexey Belik’s charges snatched victory. It was only through substitute Bogdan Trifanenko, who brought it to the visitors with a pass from Nikolay Ogarkov.
The youth team’s calendar completely duplicates the schedule of the first six rounds of Shakhtar’s main team. The U-19 team will then face Atalanta (October 2), Arsenal (October 22), Young Boys (November 6), PSV (November 27) and Bayern (December 10).
The draw for the main phase of the UEFA Youth League will take place on December 20, where the best clubs from the group stage and the Champions Path will qualify.
