Four teams advance to World Cup playoffs ahead of schedule
On Thursday, September 19, Uzbekistan hosted the second round matches in Groups E and F Futsal World Championship.
In Group E, Morocco and Portugal advanced to the World Cup playoffs ahead of schedule, beating Panama (6:3) and Tajikistan (3:2), respectively.
In Group F, the teams of France and Iran secured a place in the 1/8 finals ahead of schedule, having defeated Venezuela (7:3) and Guatemala (9:4).
On Friday, September 20, the opening matches of the third round of the 2024 World Cup will be held: Cuba vs. Croatia, Thailand vs. Brazil, Costa Rica vs. Uzbekistan, Netherlands vs. Paraguay. The game day will start at 15:30 Kyiv time.
Ukraine is third in Group C, behind Afghanistan on goal difference. In the final round, the blue-and-yellows will play Afghanistan on September 21.
The FIFA Futsal World Cup will be held from September 14 to October 6, 2024 in Uzbekistan in the cities of Tashkent, Andijan and Bukhara.
