Yamal became the second youngest goalscorer in the history of the Champions League

Leading the list is another Blaugrana player, Ansu Fati

Winger Barcelona Lamin Yamal became the second youngest goalscorer in history Champions League.

The player scored in the match against Monaco (1:2) in the first round of the 2024/25 Champions League. Lamine scored his goal in the most prestigious European Cup at the age of 17 years and 68 days.

The youngest player to score in the Champions League is fellow Barcelona player Ansu Fati, who scored against Inter in 2019 at the age of 17 years and 40 days. The top five youngest scorers also include Antonio Nousa (Club Brugge, 2022), Peter Ofori-Quaye (Olympiacos, 1997) and Mateo Kovacic (Dinamo Zagreb, 2011).

Yamal has played six matches for the club in all competitions this season. The winger has scored four goals and made four assists.

Barcelona will host Young Boys in the second round of the Champions League on October 1. The Blaugrana will play their next match on September 22 against Villarreal in La Liga.
