Vorskla drew away from home with Kryvyi Rih
Head coach Vorskly Sergey Dolgansky was pleased with the result of the match with Krivbass (1:1) in the seventh round Ukrainian Premier League.
“For us, this was the third match in a week, so I was concerned about the physical condition of the players at the end of the match. We prepared for Kryvbas in the usual mode, as for any other match of the championship. We knew the strength of this team; we knew how it plays. We prepared well, went out and played our football.”
“We started the game poorly again. In the first five minutes, while we were warming up, Kryvbas put some pressure on our goal. After the anxiety, we started the game well. Overall, we played the first half very well. There were moments that we could have used much better. After the break, Kryvbas started playing more aggressively, we responded with quick attacks. I think the game was interesting and tense. The score was in line with the game. Both teams had moments. One goal could have decided everything.”
Kryvbas and Vorskla exchanged goals at the end of the first half. Samson Iede opened the scoring, and a few minutes later Daniel Sosa equalized. After the break, the opponents failed to score.
Vorskla is in ninth place in the UPL, having scored 9 points. In the next match, Dolgansky’s team will play against Zorya on September 30.
