— We are very closely following the Argentine championship and the South American market in general. We learned that the footballer’s contract was expiring at the end of the year and started negotiations. We heard his desire and willingness to come to Russia. In a personal conversation, we talked in detail about our project – it was quite difficult, but we found a consensus with Goda Cruz, for whom Thomas played, and with the footballer himself. And the deal was done.
— Is it true that they only paid 650,000 euros for this? Very little for an artist of his caliber.
— It is not entirely accurate to disclose the cost of the transfer. But what they write in the press is true, more or less. The success of the negotiations was also influenced by the length of his contract with his former club.
We are happy to have concluded this agreement and the footballer is already playing matches for us. Also quite effective. But there is still a period of adaptation and understanding of our football. I think he will become stronger with every match,” Kornilenko told .
