In two years, the Ukrainian plans to fight for the world champion title
Ukrainian boxer Daniel Lapinthe IBO Continental and WBA Continental light heavyweight titleholder, has revealed when he plans to fight next.
“What are your future plans? My next fight will be on December 21. I hope they will pick a good opponent. Defending the WBA Continental title, I hope they will raise me in the WBA rankings and, God willing, I will aim higher and higher. I think another two years and I plan to fight the world champion,” Lapin said.
In May, Lapin knocked out Portuguese Octavio Pudivitre (9-2, 4 KOs) in a fight for the WBA Continental light heavyweight title. The fight took place in Riyadh on the undercard of the fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury for the status of absolute heavyweight champion.
Let us recall that the second fight between Usyk and Fury will take place in Riyadh on December 21, 2024. WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman said that he will seek the introduction of video replays in this fight.
