The midfielder is set to replace Ukrainian Ruslan Malinovsky, who is out for a long period due to injury
Genoa interested in the Turkish national team midfielder Yusuf Yazici. The Griffins are collecting information about a football player who is a free agent.
Yazici is to replace Ukrainian Ruslan Malinovskyi in the Italian club. Let us recall that the Ukrainian midfielder suffered a serious injury (dislocation of the joint and fracture of the fibula) and was out for a long time. Later, Ruslan successfully underwent surgery.
It was previously reported that the Griffins were studying the free agent market to sign a replacement for the Ukrainian. Among the candidates for replacement were former Shakhtar midfielder Viktor Kovalenko, former Barcelona, Inter and PSG midfielder Rafinha, as well as Antonio Candreva from Salernitana.
The last club of 27-year-old Yazici was Lille, which the Turk left in the summer. Yusuf played two matches of the group stage for the Turkish national team at Euro 2024. In total, he has 45 games for the national team, in which Yazici scored three goals and gave seven assists.
Genoa are 11th in Serie A with five points. The Griffins will host Juventus in the next round on September 28.
