Dynamo lost to Lazio 0:3 in the opening match of the Europa League
Goalkeeper Dynamo Georgy Bushchan commented on the defeat from Lazio (0:3) in the opening match Europa Leagues.
“Did the early goal and Ceballos’ injury ruin the plans for the match? Yes, an early goal always ruins the game. Ceballos’ injury did not particularly affect the team’s performance. Unfortunately, only the goal conceded played a role.”
“A share of episodes were decided by micro-moments – can this be attributed to a lack of experience, or the level of our championship? I think this is the level of our championship. You saw that the game was easy, and there were chances, but, unfortunately, we did not score. Teams from the top leagues decide half-moments – and that’s it. I think that with such a game we will have a result. We are upset, but we are preparing and moving on.”
“Are the goals conceded the result of a lack of teamwork between the defenders? No, these are half-chances that the opposing striker converted. We have already played about 10 rounds, so this cannot be a lack of teamwork between the defenders. Lazio simply converted their chances.”
In the match with Lazio, Dynamo was losing 0:3 by the 35th minute of the match – Boulaye Dia scored a double for the Romans, and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru scored another goal. The teams finished the match with ten men – Maxime Bragaru was sent off for Dynamo, and Tijani Noslin for Lazio.
Dynamo will play their next match in the Europa League on October 3 away against Hoffenheim, who started the Europa League with an away draw against Midtjylland (1:1).
Before heading to Hoffenheim, Dynamo will play a match with Left Bank in the UPL – this match will take place on Sunday, September 29.
