Bumblebees climb to second place in the Bundesliga
Borussia Dortmund won a strong-willed victory over Bochum in the opening match of the 5th round Bundesliga – 4:2.
The guests surprised Dortmund by scoring two goals midway through the first half. Matus Bero and Dani De Wit scored the goals, taking advantage of a mistake by the Bumblebees goalkeeper.
Before the break, Serou Guirassi reduced Borussia’s lead in the score, and in the 62nd minute Emre Can restored parity on the scoreboard by converting a penalty.
By the end of the match, Nuri Shahin’s team managed to score twice more. Guirassi and Felix Nmecha brought Borussia victory.
Former Shakhtar and Ukraine national team defender Ivan Ordets was not included in Bochum’s squad for the match with Borussia.
Borussia Dortmund scored 10 points and moved up to second place in the Bundesliga. Bochum have not yet won in the new season and are in 17th position with 1 point.
On October 1, Borussia will host Celtic in the second round of the Champions League, and on October 5 they will play away against Union Berlin in the Bundesliga. Bochum will face Wolfsburg at home on October 5.
