The Paris club previously appealed the decision of the legal committee of the French Football League to pay Mbappe’s wages
Ex-forward PSG Kylian Mbappe On October 15, he will meet with representatives of the Parisian club at the Joint Appeal Committee of the Professional Football League (LFP) regarding a debt of 55 million euros.
Previously, the LFP legal committee ordered PSG to pay Mbappe’s debt, but the Parisian club decided to appeal this decision.
We are talking about the forward’s salary for the last three months of his contract with the Parisian club, as well as bonuses totaling 55 million euros. Regarding this, Mbappe contacted the LFP and UEFA back in August.
PSG insisted that they were right, citing a verbal “gentleman’s agreement” with Kylian, which was concluded back in January, according to which the club should not suffer financial losses if the superstar left as a free agent (which ultimately happened).
It was previously reported that the club, if Mbappe is proven right, could face sanctions up to and including a transfer ban and exclusion from European competition.
Mbappe has been a Paris Saint-Germain player for the past six years, joining from Monaco. At the end of the club season, the player received free agent status. Last season, Kylian played 48 matches for PSG in all competitions, in which he scored 44 goals and provided 10 assists.
In July, Mbappe signed a five-year contract with Real Madrid. The 25-year-old Frenchman joined Blancos as a free agent.
It was previously reported that in Spain Kylian will earn 15 million euros per season. The striker will also receive a signing bonus of 150 million euros, which will be paid over five years. Mbappe will retain a percentage of the image rights.
In the match of the last round of La Liga against Alaves (3:2), Mbappe received a hip injury, due to which he will miss approximately three weeks.
In total, Kylian played 9 matches for Real Madrid, scoring 7 goals and 1 assist.
