The Reds took advantage of Manchester City’s misfire
Liverpool won Wolverhampton in the away match of the 6th round English Premier League – 2:1.
Arne Slot’s men took the lead before the break. Ibrahima Konate finished off Diogo Jota’s cross.
After the break, the home team bounced back, taking advantage of a blunder by the visiting defense. Liverpool quickly regained the lead as Mohamed Salah converted the penalty. The teams did not score any more goals.
Liverpool scored 15 points and led the Premier League. The Reds took advantage of Manchester City’s misfire, which today drew with Newcastle (1:1). Wolverhampton suffered their fifth defeat in the championship and are at the bottom of the standings.
On October 2, Liverpool will host Bologna in the Champions League, and on October 5 they will play away against Crystal Palace in the Premier League. Wolverhampton face Brentford next Saturday.
