Manchester United have won just two of their six opening Premier League matches
Head coach Manchester United Erik ten Hag after a devastating home defeat against Tottenham (0:3) assessed the likelihood of his dismissal from his position.
“Dismissal? I don’t think about it. We all decided in the summer to stay together – a group of co-owners, a group of club managers. We conducted a thorough analysis and determined what we need to improve and how to build our squad. All decisions are made jointly, everyone knows that it will take some time. We are all in the same boat: owners, managers, coaches, players.”
Ten Hag took charge of Manchester United in the summer of 2022, coming from Ajax. Finished third with the Red Devils in his first season and also won the 2022/23 EFL Cup.
In July, it was announced that the contract with the Dutch specialist would be extended until the summer of 2026.
Manchester United have won only two of their six opening Premier League matches, currently occupying 12th place in the standings.
Ten Hag’s team will play their next match on October 3 as part of the Europa League – they will face Port on the road. In the Premier League, Manchester United will play their next game on October 6th away against Aston Villa.
