Mikhavko: Scoring a goal for Dynamo was my dream

With his goal, the 19-year-old defender helped Dynamo win a crushing victory over Left Bank (3:0)

Defender Dynamo Taras Mikhavko commented on the victorious match against Left Bank (3:0), in which he managed to score his debut goal as part of the Kyiv club.

“How do I evaluate my actions in the match? Of course, scoring a goal for Dynamo was my dream. I’m very happy. Of course, I am grateful to Sasha Karavaev for the assist, although he himself says that he shot at the goal, and the goalkeeper parried, so I played on the finish and scored.”

“I’m happy with both the game and the result. I managed not to miss it. We’re glad we got three points. The victory was not as easy as we wanted, but we understood that the opponent would be as determined as possible for us. We, too, were in the right mood, and, thank God, everything worked out.”

“Did the quality of the lawn cause me to ask for a replacement? Yes, the lawn was soft, so in one episode, when I landed on my foot, I felt some discomfort in my back.”

The 19-year-old centerback made his debut for the Dynamo main team in the spring part of the 2023/24 season. In the 2024/25 season, Mikhavko played 11 matches for the Kiev team in all tournaments, scoring one goal.

Thanks to today’s victory, Dynamo regained its leadership in the UPL – the white-blues scored 19 points. Alexandria has exactly the same number, which is inferior to Shovkovsky’s team in terms of goal difference.

In the next match, Dynamo will play against Hoffenheim in the Europa League, the meeting will take place on October 3 and will begin at 19:45 Kyiv time. In the Ukrainian Championship, Alexander Shovkovsky’s team will play against Krivbass on October 6.
