Griezmann became world champion in 2018
Madrid forward Atlético Antoine Griezmann announced his retirement from the French national team.
“With a heart filled with memories, I close this chapter of my life. Thank you for this wonderful tricolor adventure and see you again,” Antoine said on social networks.
Griezmann made his debut with Les Bleu in 2014. He has 137 matches, 44 goals and 38 assists.
Antoine performed for the French national team at a number of forums. In 2018, Griezmann became world champion and won the Nations League in 2021. He also has silver at the 2022 World Cup and silver at Le Bleu’s home European Championship in 2016.
In September, Griezmann took part in two Nations League matches against Italy and Belgium. Antoine was also a main player at Euro 2024.
