Lunin is in Real’s squad for the match with Lille in the Champions League

Ukrainian goalkeeper Andrey Lunin entered the application Real Madrid for the match with Lillem in the second round Champions League 2024/25.

Blancos’ main goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is not on the list. It was previously reported that the Belgian was experiencing muscle problems after the match with Atletico Madrid. The player should undergo an MRI, there is a possibility that Courtois will remain in the hospital until the end of the international break.

Lunin is the main candidate for a place in the starting lineup in the absence of Courtois. The Ukrainian has never appeared in official games for the club this season. Last season, Andrei was a player in the main squad: 31 matches in all tournaments, 32 goals conceded, 12 clean sheets. The Ukrainian was also nominated for the Best Goalkeeper of the Year award at the 2024 Ballon d’Or.

Real defeated Stuttgart (3:1) in the first round of the 2024/25 Champions League, Lille lost to Sporting (0:2). The second round match will take place in France on October 2. The meeting starts at 22:00.
